Tikuli Vishnu Painting by Ashok Kumar

Ashok Kumar paints lord Vishnu in this Tikuli art. Vishnu is one of the prime gods of the Trimurti in Hinduism and is revered as the Maintainer of the Universe. This painting depicts Vishnu standing on lotus bloom which floats on the Kshira Sagar. His four hands represent the four direction of the universe and symbolise his omnipresence. He holds the Panchjanya, Sudarshna Chakra and the Kaumodaki while posing in Abhay mudra as he blesses his devotees with a blissful smile.
